Joint monitoring visit in Sudurpashchim Province

Kudos to local governments! The recent (Feb 25 - March 1, 2024) joint monitoring visit conducted by UNICEF Nepal and Seto Gurans NCDS: सेतो गुराँस राष्ट्रिय बाल विकास सेवा along with field partners in Sudurpashchim Province (specifically in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, Beldandi Rural Municipality, Kanchanpur; Bhajani Municipality, and Kailari Rural Municipality, Kailali) observed impressive initiatives undertaken by the respective local governments to strengthen early childhood education and development opportunities through integrated programs i.e. parenting education, use of ELDS report cards, management of child-friendly classroom, six learning corners, taps, toilets; breastfeeding corner in govt offices; and implementation of the National ECD strategy with provision of ECD coordinators.
