Child to Child (Children for Peace) Program (1996)
In 1996, child to child program was designed to involve elder siblings to support younger ones for their development. The children can be the peers, teachers, and learners to each-other. The children, when not manipulated and allowed to learn in a peaceful environment, can catalyze change through their learning. Thus, the child to child program was later redesigned as children for peace program based on child rights and child club members. Realizing the various social issues such as caste, class, and gender-based discrimination and abuse, drug abuse, conflict, violence, and lack of opportunity threaten peace in the family and the community. Therefore, children for peace program aimed to empower children to channel their energy, foster a sense of responsibility to safeguard their own rights, maintain peace, and work for the just community.
