Seto Gurans National Child Development Services has been a pioneer organization in the field of advancing Early Child Development (ECD) since its inception in 1979. It has been working in coordination with the Government of Nepal (Federal, Provincial and Local), UN agencies, I/NGOs and other stakeholders as well as education and ECD experts. Seto Gurans NCDS has stood out among other agencies for its innovations, creativity, and contextualization, working mostly in the rural communities helping the underprivileged children get better educational and holistic development opportunities.

It's my privilege to reiterate that Seto Gurans NCDS has been highly acknowledged by the government, national and international organizations and UN agencies for its remarkable contribution in strengthening ECD status in Nepal. Seto Gurans NCDS has engaged and aligned its programs with School Sector Reform Program (2009-2015), School Sector Development Program (2016-2023), and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In the course, Seto Gurans NCDS has always advocated and continues to do so, for the implementation of ECD policies from the grassroots to the national level. It's diligent networking approach, research and study, policy advocacy and campaigns have widened its scope as an internationally recognized institution. Out of all, the national advocacy approach of Seto Gurans NCDS working with the parliamentarians through ECD Caucus (of the parliamentarians of Nepal) has been highly successful — the achievements are now reflected in major government legislations including the Constitution of Nepal, 2015.

We feel honored to share what we have achieved over the years since our establishment and its synopsis through this website. I express my gratitude to the team members of Seto Gurans NCDS. I am indebted to all former executive and general members of Seto Gurans NCDS for their tireless effort to bring this organization at this reputable stage. Also, I owe my sincere gratitude to Ms. Agatha Pakhrin Thapa, the founder of Seto Gurans NCDS for her relentless leadership and sincere efforts in fostering the agenda of ECD in Nepal. Finally, I would also like to thank all the government bodies, our local sister organizations, national and international partners in helping us achieve what we have made possible.
