Indeed, change is possible: The admirable efforts made by Mithila Municipality, Dhanusa District, Madhesh Province, in promoting Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives highlight the importance of investing in ECD. Such investments play a pivotal role in establishing a strong foundation for children's lifelong learning and overall well-being.

Mithila Municipality has installed parquet flooring in an ECED centre and a grade 1 classroom of Shree Rastriya Basic School, ward # 10 — one of the 43 ECED centres and 28 grade 1 in Mithila Municipality — to implement long-term child-friendly seating management. This flooring option offers a neater and cleaner alternative to carpeting.
