#Federal ECD Caucus' Campaign on ECD.

Federal ECD Caucus meeting held today chaired by Hon. Ms. Satya Pahadi in presence of Hon. Ms. Minakshi Jha, Hon. Mr. Akabal Miya, Hon. Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal, Hon. Sita Kumari Poudel, Hon. Ms. Durga Kumari Bishwokarma, Hon. Ms. Pabitra Niraula (Kharel), and Hon. Ms. Sarita Kumari Giri along with ECD experts, representatives from development organizations, and Seto Gurans National Child Development Services, who has been working as the secretariat of the Federal ECD Caucus.

#1The meeting nominated the names of the two Hon. Members of ECD Caucus (Parliamentarians) to present the Remarks (Speech) from Nepal on contextual issues on ECD in the forthcoming "2022 Asia-Pacific Regional Virtual Conference on Early Child Development" to be organized by Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC).

#2It was decided on the formation of the provincial ECD Caucus for Sudurpashchim Province. The initial formation process meeting with Supurpashchim Government is scheduled for 19th June 2022.

#3In addition, it was emphasized on follow-up in the implementation of the National ECD Strategy in coordination with the National Planning Commission. Also, follow-up with Madhesh Province and Karnali Province for the endorsement of the drafted Provincial ECD Strategies will be carried out regularly as committed by the Federal ECD Caucus.
