Promoting implementation of the ‘National Strategy for Early Childhood Development 2077-2088’

Promoting implementation of the ‘National Strategy for Early Childhood Development 2077-2088’ through the formation of the Local Early Childhood Development Committee (Local Government and Ward level).

In collaboration with the Government of Nepal, the Center For Education And Human Resources Development, and Local Governments; and with support from UNICEF Nepal, so far, Seto Gurans NCDS: सेतो गुराँस राष्ट्रिय बाल विकास सेवा jointly supported in formation of the Local Early Childhood Development Committee (14 Local Governments and 132 out of targeted 137 Ward level). Through, this ECD committee development process, about 3214 local government authorities/stakeholders have been directly sensitized on ECD programs under the UNICEF Nepal-supported project “Strengthening Early Childhood Education and Development in Nepal through Implementation of Early Learning Development Standards”.

Furthermore as envisioned in the “National Strategy for Early Childhood Development 2077–2088”, 14 ECD Coordinators have been supporting their respective Local Governments for effective implementation of the integrated ECD programs.
