Provincial ECD Caucus in Sudurpashchim Province Formed!!

A Provincial Early Childhood Development (ECD) Caucus in Sudurpashchim Province was formed amidst a program on Sunday, June 19, 2022. A 15-member Provincial ECD Caucus, a loose forum of a group of honorable members of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly, was formed in a "consultation program on constitutional rights and responsibilities in provincial context" chaired by Chief Minister of Sudurpashchim Province Hon Mr Trilochan Bhatta in presence of Social Development Minister Hon Mr Govind Raj Bohora, State Ministers Hon Mr Kulbir Chaudhary and Hon Ms Archana Gahatraj, and Members of the Provincial Assembly, Hon Member of the House of Representative and Federal ECD Caucus Joint-coordinator Hon Mr Akbal Miya, ECD experts, Representatives from development partner organizations; media persons, and Seto Gurans National Child Development Services along with district partner organization.

The Sudurpashchim Provincial ECD Caucus is comprised of Hon. Bharat Bahadur Khadka (Coordinator), Hon Purna Joshi (Joint-coordinator), Hon Devki Malla (Joint-coordinator), Hon Baldev Regmi (secretary); and members Hon Harka Bahadur Kunwar, Hon Pathan Singh Bohora, Hon Tek Bahadur Raika, Hon Mahesh Datta Joshi, Hon Archana Gahatraj, Hon Malamati Kumari Rana, Hon Kulbir Chaudhary, Hon Maya Bhatta, Hon Krishna Chaudhary, Hon Nirmala Badal, and Hon Gyalb Singh Bohora.

In this regard, as the secretariat of the Federal ECD Caucus, Seto Gurans National Child Development Services expresses its heartiest thanks and sincere gratitude to the respected Sudurpashchim Province Government, all individuals, and organizations, especially Unicef Nepal, who have provided needful support in this endeavor.

So far, a total of 5 provincial ECD Caucus have been formed with the initiative roles by the Seto Gurans National Child Development Services with gracious coordination and advocacy by the federal ECD Caucus, collaboration with the respected provincial governments, and support from different development partner organizations along with ECD experts and related stakeholders.
