#Handed over to Province Governemnt, Karnali Province

The drafted Provincial Early Childhood Development [ECD] Strategy 2078-2082 was handed over to Province Government, Karnali Province in Surkhet amidst a program on 12-Paush-2078 for further endorsement process. Respected Secretary Mr Krishna Prasad Kapri, Ministry of Social Development, Karnali Province received the Provincial ECD Strategy document from Ms Kunti Rana, Executive Director of Seto Gurans National Child Development Services in presence of respected members of ECD Strategy Steering Committee and other stakeholders. The document was drafted by ECD expert Ms Madhu Rajbhandari.

The provincial ECD strategy document development process was initiated in 2020 with support from Save the Children and technical support by Seto Gurans National Child Development Service in joint collaboration and consultation with Province Government, Karnali Province, Ministry of Social Development, Karnali Province Planning Commission, and Local Governments. For this, a steering committee — led by Karnali Province Planning Commission — was formed, which comprised Karnali Province ECD Caucus, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry Of Land Management, Agriculture & Co-operative, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development along with other different concerned sections.
