Capacity building training on the program implementation process under the Unicef Nepal supported program "Strengthening Early Childhood Education and Development through Implementation of Early Learning Development Standard" was initiated on April 25, 2022.

The program is being implemented in joint collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), and 7 Local Governments [1. Chakraghatta Rural Municipality and 2. LalbandiMunicipality from Madhesh Province, Sarlahi; 3. Aurahi Rural Municipality and 4. Mithila Municipality from Madhesh Province, Dhanusha; 5. Shivaraj Municipality from Lumbini Province, Kapilvastu; 6. Narayan Municipality from Karnali Province,Dailekh; and Kailari Rural Municipality from Sudurpashchim Province, Kailali].

To highlight the policies, acts, and strategies on early childhood development (ECD) in the federal structure in Nepal, authorities from the Center for Education and Human Resource Development and Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) along with Unicef Nepal presented papers and also held panel/group discussion with the participants on the second of the event. About 30 participants — 20 staff and executive board representatives from five different District Partners (Sarlahi District Seto Gurans, Mahottari/Dhanusha District Seto Gurans, Kapilvastu District Seto Gurans, Dailekh District Seto Gurans, and Peacewin Nepal and 10 from Seto Gurans National Child Development Services — are taking part in the 7-day residential capacity building training.
