Collective campaign on Parenting Education

Our collective campaign on Parenting Education in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Center For Education And Human Resources Development, Local Governments and support from UNICEF Nepall is going on. Recently, we have capacitated 132 human resources — Khandachakra Municiplaity (37), Kanaksundari Rural Municipality (25), Bhajani Municipality (20), Laljhadi Rural Muicipality (26), and Bedandi Rural Municipality (22), which includes mostly ECED teachers and some Grade 1 teachers, Community Learning Center (CLC) Facilitators, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHV), and Social Mobilizers — through 7-day Parenting Education (PE) training.

Earlier, we had capacitated 230 participants in 7 other local governments. Meant, overall, 362 participants have been trained at 14 local governments under the UNICEF Nepal-supported project “ "Strengthening Early Childhood Education and Development in Nepal through Implementation of Early Learning Development Standards".

# 7000 + parents & caregivers are expected to be benefited directly in the program area from the PE program.

#At least 20 sessions — out of 33 sessions as specified in the PE book — will be conducted by each trained PE facilitators in the communities and the PE session facilitation and related cost will be provided by the respective local governments from their own budget.
