Observation by Childaid Network Team
A Childaid Network team led by its President Dr Martin Kasper visited the working areas and observed the Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) programs intervention by the Seto Gurans National Child Development Services in Ramechhap district.
Dr Martin has been working at Childaid Network, Germany full-time for the foundation on a voluntary basis since 2006. He vouches for the good use of funds: "It is my calling to give needy children a good future. I consider it a great luxury that I can commit myself so intensively to this,” he adds.
The team had held a joint meeting with respected Gokulganga Rural Municipality. Authorities from Gokulganga RM and representatives from Childaid Network team including its partners Seto Gurans NCDS, Green Tara Nepal and Community Development Centre (CDS) were present in the meeting. Dr Martin and Gokulganga RM Chairperson Khadga Bahadur Sunuwar along with other presented stakeholders discussed about the Childaid Network and Seto Gurans NCDS-supported program and its challenges at local level (Gokulganga RM).
Then, the team visited the Shivalaya Basic School in Shivalaya and Seti Devi Secondary School in Sangamadanda, where they observed newly constructed ecological area and ECED centre as well as Grade 1, indeed whole school. The team discussed with teachers about the challenges in the school and its mitigation by CAN through technical support by Seto Gurans National Child Development Services.
Childaid Network Foundation is a strong development partner for Seto Gurans NCDS since 2019 for strengthening early childhood education and development opportunities in mountainous Ramechhap. Currently, Seto Gurans NCDS is promoting Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) and primary education programs to strengthen quality of education under the project supported by Childaid Network and co-funded by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany.
