प्रारम्भिक बाल्यावस्था (गर्भावस्थादेखि आठ वर्षसम्म) मानव जीवनको सबैभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण अवस्था हो। यस अवस्थामा बालबालिकाको शारीरिक, बौद्धिक, संवेगात्मक, सामाजिक तथा भाषिक विकासको आधार बन्दछ । यही अवस्थामा बालबालिकाले जस्तो अनुभव पाउँछन्, भावी जीवन उस्तै हुन्छ । शिशु गर्भमा रहँदा वा शिशुको जन्मपछि बालबालिकाको उचित स्याहार र विकासको अवसर प्रदान गर्ने जिम्मेवारी अभिभावकहरूको हुन्छ ।

In collaboration with the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), and Local Governments; and with support from UNICEF Nepal, we are collectively promoting Parenting Education (PE) in 14 Local Government through capacity building, and then mobilization of PE facilitators in communities.

#So far, we have capacitated 181 — out of the targeted 350 — PE facilitators within the 14 local governments under the UNICEF Nepal-supported project “ "Strengthening Early Childhood Education and Development in Nepal through Implementation of Early Learning Development Standards".

#About 7000 parents & caregivers are expected to be benefited directly in the program area from the PE program.

#At least 20 sessions — out of 33 sessions as specified in the PE book — will be conducted by each PE facilitator in the community.
