Some glimpses of the introductory program held at local governments under the Unicef Nepal supported project "Strengthening Early Childhood Education and Development in Nepal through the implementation of Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS)".

In collaboration and MoU with the Government of Nepal, Center for Education and Human Resource Development and support from Unicef Nepal, Seto Gurans National Child Development Services has been implementing the project at 14 local governments covering four provinces Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces which includes 10 districts: Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Kapilvstu, Rolpa, Dailekh, Kalikot, Jumla, Salyan, Kailali and Kanchanpur district.

At the initial phase, the project introductory and sharing program at 7 LGs were completed. Later, based on 1st amendment of the project, additional 7 LGs were added into the working area list. Thus, now the introductory programs are going on to the newly added 7 LGs. So far, project introductory programs at Laljhadi Rural Municipality, Beldandi Rural Municipality, Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, Sharada Municipality, and Rolpa Municipality are completed.

Seto Gurans NCDS expresses sincere gratitude to the respective local governments, and stakeholders for their significant support, cooperation and commitments towards strengthening the ECED thru implementation of the Early Learning Development Standards in previously set 7 LGs and Parenting Education in newly added 7 LGs.
